Gorgeous dress, Cinderella high healed shoes, aching feet. Not exactly how you imagined your Prom night right? Being sure the shoe fits correctly is the key to surviving the evening with your souls in tack . But maybe there is an alternative to those skinny 5 inch platforms. Consider the flat. I have done some research and was surprised to see not only the quantity of fashionable flats available but how fierce the designs are. Whether you are into bows, gems or buckles there is a flat for you. And they are affordable! With the flat, you will find yourself dancing until dawn!
I always feel grateful and blessed to work with amazing clients who have a clear vision of what they want from a design perspective but allow me to let my creative juices flow. In this case I was hired by my good friend Kayla to design her Junior prom dress for Spring, 2015. Kayla is a perfect combination of naughty and nice. She wanted a dress that made her feel like a princess, had a vintage flare, but one that was modernized to embody her inner “goth.” Her favorite color is red so it was a must to incorporate that color as a primary feature of the dress. Above and below are the concept drawings and final product. Taking orders for 2016 :-). Enjoy!
